Fabrico measures OEE on presses, CNC machines, casting cells and extrusion lines, from cycle counts in the PLC or a sensor. Maintenance is built in.

  • PLC or sensor, older presses too
  • Micro-stops detected from the signal

Micro-stops on presses and CNC

A jam in a progressive die or a hesitating coil feeder lowers performance without looking like a breakdown. Fabrico adds these stops up per machine.

Downtime tracking on the shop floor

Stops on a connected machine come from its signal, and the operator tags the cause in the iOS or Android app.

Die changes and tool changes

Tagged die and tool changes show changeover time per machine, apart from breakdowns and waiting.

Changeover: die change

Waiting: material or crane

Breakdown: press

Example causes, not a screen capture

Connect presses, CNC and extrusion lines

Older presses and newer machining centers sit side by side in one plant view.

FAQs

How long does a rollout take?

With hardware, installing and connecting the devices takes about 1 month, and the full rollout takes 3 to 4 months.

Is Fabrico a full MES?

No. Fabrico covers the monitoring and OEE side of MES: machine data, downtime, OEE and the maintenance work that follows. Production planning and scheduling is on our roadmap and is not part of the product today.

Can Fabrico track OEE on older presses?

Yes. A press without an accessible PLC gets an IoT sensor that counts its strokes, so old and new presses report into one OEE view.

More detail

Scrap, built-in maintenance and handover

Scrap lands in the quality figure of the machine that made it, on the OEE dashboard, so a press that makes bad parts no longer looks healthy. A technician opens a work order from the stop. PM plans for presses and furnaces, spare parts, and MTTR and MTBF per machine sit in the same app. Our calculator prices the gap to your target OEE. For more, read OEE in metal fabrication.

Multi-plant, ERP, IT and security

A group account brings several plants into one view with cross-plant reports. Bidirectional sync with SAP PM and integration with SAP S/4HANA; Dynamics, Oracle and other ERPs connect through a custom integration. REST API, webhooks and Zapier; SSO through SAML as a custom integration; audit log. The PLC link speaks OPC UA, Modbus, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR with a DPA, hosting in the AWS EU region. Compare tools in our OEE software guide.
